 - Halki Travel Guide
This is probably an annual festival and the locals and visiting tourists look forward to these events and everyone has a great time. Local musicians play all night long and village dances take place with some of the dancers wearing national costume.

These festivals are usually celebrated by the locals gathering in the church, following by feasting and dancing to live music.

 - Halki Travel Guide
A favourite food served at most of the 'Panayeria' is lamb, usually cooked on the spit over charcoal. There are also the 'souvlakia' which are small pieces of pork grilled on a wooden skewer. These are always accompanied by a selection of salads and freshly baked bread.
