Enjoy an Atlantic Ocean Adventure Around the Bahamas
The Bahamas lay claim to around 180,000 square miles of Atlantic Ocean, with the country being made up of more than 700 islands. This is home to the capital city, Nassau, and is the most populated island of the Bahamas. This makes it a great starting point for a tour and there is certainly plenty to see and do on the island. One of the most beautiful is Harbour Island, with pink sand making it a picturesque location. There are three miles of beaches to enjoy, with these generally being between 50 and 100 feet wide. This means plenty of space to find a secluded spot and just chill out in the sunshine.
The flamingo is the national bird of the Bahamas and Inagua is the place to see these beautiful birds in the wild. The island is home to three national parks, so if your plans include some wildlife watching, it is the perfect stopping off location. Apart from the flamingos, there are also Bahama parrots, hummingbirds, sea turtles, and lizards to see.
